Your PAH may be progressing silently, even when your symptoms seem stable1
PAH can involve changes in the levels of three substances that occur naturally in your body. Over time, these changes can cause the arteries in your lungs to become thick and stiff. As this happens, the arteries of your lungs may tighten or narrow and scar, making it more difficult for blood to flow.2,3
When blood flow is restricted, your heart must work harder to pump blood through the arteries of your lungs. This can cause the muscles in your heart to thicken, which can make it more difficult for your heart to pump blood. As time goes on, the strain on your heart can progressively worsen.3

Question 1
When my symptoms are stable, that means my pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is not getting worse.
THE CORRECT ANSWER IS FALSE
Even when symptoms seem stable, your PAH may be progressing. The narrowing of the arteries in your lungs can make the heart work harder, increasing the strain on your heart.3

Question 2
PAH involves changes in the levels of only two naturally occurring substances in the body.
THE CORRECT ANSWER IS FALSE
PAH can be driven by imbalances of three substances that occur naturally in your body. Over time, the changes in these substances can cause the arteries in your lungs to become thick and stiff.2

Question 3
There are PAH treatments available that target three different pathways.
THE CORRECT ANSWER IS TRUE
There are medications available that work on each of the three key pathways.2 UPTRAVI® targets one of these pathways. Discussing a comprehensive treatment plan with your doctor that includes UPTRAVI® may help you delay the progression of your PAH.4
PAH can progress rapidly in patients with connective tissue disease such as scleroderma5
If you have PAH associated with scleroderma, you may want to learn how it might affect you.
Find out if there is an additional treatment angle you could try to help delay PAH progression3
